This book is a piece I had wanted to work on for a very long, and the story behind the book is one I hold close to my heart.
The book itself is a documentary style book, all of the photographs in it are being used to show others what it is like to live there. I grew up in the Bahamas, and spending most of your life in a place you always see features of the place that tourists would not see. The Bahamas is seen as a stunning place with crystal clear waters and swimming pigs, do not get me wrong, it is all of those things, however the country as a whole holds so much more culture and meaning behind it. This is what I have brought to share taking the viewer on a photographic journey to explore my roots of the Bahamas.
